These songs were written to coincide with the completion of the radioactive clean-up efforts at the Idaho National Laboratory, where after 16 years of digging, they will be "capping" 98 acres of that ground. The lion's share of plutonium-contaminated waste will remain buried in the earth in perpetuity overtop of the Snake River Aquifer. The songs were written to inspire reflection around the legacy of that technology used to shatter the deep structural bonds of matter: the atom.
